Hey there! I’m Ellie Brightmore;

​You can normally find me either out on my bike enjoying the beautiful Scottish trails, taking photographs, drinking my body weight in English Breakfast tea, or trying to find dogs to cuddle.

​But the bit you guys want to know is this…

​I’m a photographer living in the beautifully, idyllic Scottish Borders. I specialise in wedding and lifestyle photography and cover the whole of the UK.

My journey into photography started out purely as a hobby. I loved to take photographs ever since I was small and that love has only grown as I got older.

​Photography has always been a big part of my life from a very early age, with the majority of  influence coming from my father, grandfather and uncle. All of them had their own unique part to play in my journey towards becoming a photographer.

Being the woman behind the lens here at Split Lens Photography. I pride myself on a professional, personal and patient approach. With a natural, love-infused, storytelling style – I ensure every emotion filled moment is captured in all of its stunning glory.

From engagements to weddings to your precious newborn baby being born or even the beloved family pet. Split Lens Photography will capture the most joyous moments of your life through my lens. With all of us being so unique and individually different, Split Lens Photography aims to capture who you truly are by telling your story through her photographs.

​I don’t have any fancy qualifications or prizes or awards. What I do have is honesty, compassion, understanding and an eye for capturing memories that you will cherish.  I don’t like forced smiles or posing for hours on end. I want to capture tears falling, faces that ache from cheesy grins and eyes that light up when the love of your life walks into the room.

​

Photography is so much more than a ‘point and click’. It’s about telling a story.

​

But not just any story. Your story, through my eyes and my world.

Photography is my passion and it’s an absolute honour and pleasure to be apart of the precious moments in my clients lives.
