Overview

Hello, my name is Stephen McLaren. I am a Humanist Celebrant and Marriage Officer based in Dalmeny, near Edinburgh. This is a perfect location which enables me to cover quite a large area of Scotland.

I am legally authorised to marry couples anywhere in Scotland. I am proud to be part of a small Humanist group called Humanism in Scotland. We set up in 2015 to do things a little differently.

With our ‘fair price policy’ – and only ever committing to one ceremony per day – we look to give couples the reassurance they need. Planning a wedding is usually a big step into the unknown so I always try to help couples in a friendly, relaxed manner.

What we create together is a beautiful ceremony all about you. It becomes a lovely event which everyone enjoys. A huge part of it for me is seeing everyone go away after a wedding ceremony looking so relaxed and happy. My ceremonies set you up perfectly for a really wonderful day.
