Overview

Set on the historic Royal Mile in Edinburgh, this Category A listed building blends award winning contemporary design with classic Victorian architecture. Originally built in the 1840s as a venue to host the General Assembly for the Church of Scotland, the building underwent a transformation in 1999 to create a performance space and accommodate the Edinburgh International Festival. The interior of the The Hub’s Main Hall is spectacularly designed in rich gold and vibrant blue with original period features which makes it an ideal space to hold special occasions like a wedding.

Facilities 

If you are seeking a venue with a church-like appearance then The Hub is certainly a must-see, the Main Hall is perfect for ceremonies with its high ceilings and stained glass windows and as it is commonly used for weddings and gala dinners, its 250 guest dining capacity means it can accommodate the largest of weddings. The Hub is an ideal venue if you wish to have your ceremony and reception in the same place but evening packages are available for wedding couples who wish to have their ceremony elsewhere. Evening facility fee hire of the Main Hall costs £2300 and includes a dedicated event manager, bar facilities, use of a private dressing room on the night, a staffed cloakroom and much more – facility fee hire is included when booking a wedding package.

Services

Wedding packages are available for wedding parties of 80 guests or more and include everything required plus a little more to make your wedding day extra special such as exclusive use of the venue and as part of the wedding service, wedding couple’s are invited to attend a menu tasting to sample dishes and meet the head chef. A dedicated event manager will be at hand to assist with the wedding arrangements and standard decor includes ivory floor length table linen and napkins, bentwood chairs, tea lights, and contemporary or traditional table centres. A flower budget is allocated within each wedding package and the in-house florist will assist you with the floral design and you also have the choice to increase the budget depending on the arrangement you prefer.
