A modern hotel in an A-listed building from 1892 offering incredible views of the city and the famous Edinburgh castle, the hotel features floor to ceiling windows throughout and was the first glass curtain wall built in Scotland in 1937. The hotel building is a landmark in the city centre with its unusual architectural design that resembles the New York City Flatiron.

The hotel has a Penthouse wedding suite and is sure to wow your guests with its floor to ceiling windows offering a panoramic view of Edinburgh’s skyline including an unrivalled, spectacular view of Edinburgh castle. The Penthouse can host your ceremony, wedding meal and evening reception and has a private bar and private rooftop terrace where your guests can enjoy some celebratory drinks whilst taking in the incredible view.

Penthouse can accommodate 150 day guests for the ceremony, 108 dining guests for the wedding meal and 180 guests in total for the evening reception.
The Orchardfield suite can accommodate 200 day guests for the ceremony, 150 dining guests for the wedding meal and 200 guests in total for the evening reception.

The Orchardfield suite is an option for weddings of up to 200 guests and is located on the ground floor of the hotel and features a private entrance and stylish dancefloor.

Services

A choice of Silver, Gold and Diamond wedding menu options are available which range from £30-£50 per person but if you prefer to have a bespoke menu for your wedding, the Head Chef will be happy to accommodate and create a menu that suits.

The hotel’s 138 guests rooms and suites are designed in a contemporary style and opting for a suite will come with a separate seating area or living room and a castle view.
