Overview

Thainstone House is an 18th-century mansion hotel set in the Inverurie countryside over 44 acres of woodland and parkland offering guests traditional Scottish hospitality with a grand flair. The palladian styled house turned hotel has a rich history of a much loved family home but surprisingly only 2.5 miles from the town centre, and 16 miles from Aberdeen.

Facilities 

Thainstone House is licensed for civil, religious and humanist ceremonies, which can take place outdoors on the lawn or indoors. The indoor suites have tall windows throughout ensuring your wedding ceremony is bright and atmospheric and one of the suites, The Green Lady Restaurant, is an elongated room perfect for creating a long aisle to the ceremony altar. The largest room is the Ballroom which can accommodate 180 guests for ceremony, meal and reception. If you plan to have a wedding party larger than 180 guests then the grounds of the house are ideal for placing a marquee and enjoying your wedding celebrations in bespoke setting and to make the night go off with a bang, you can enjoy a private fireworks display in celebration of your special day. The Drawing Room is an ideal space for a drinks reception as guests can enjoy their refreshments over the warm log fire and the sweeping lawn and acres of woodland provide the perfect backdrop for stunning photographs of the wedding party.

Services

The venue operates on booking only one wedding per date so your wedding will be the only wedding taking place on the day you have booked. Exclusive use of the house is available which you can make the Thainstone House your own for the day and offers complete privacy for you and your wedding guests with full and sole use of all the areas in Thainstone House for your wedding celebrations from the morning of your wedding day right through to the morning after. Inclusive wedding packages are available priced per guest or if you prefer you can tailor make your wedding to suit with the assistance of an experienced wedding coordinator.

Accommodation

The 4 star hotel has 48 stylish rooms consisting of standard double/twin rooms, executive double/twin rooms and suites with the largest of the rooms being the Junior Suite which features a luxurious super king size bed.
