Overview

A much loved family home of the Gordon family, this magnificent 14th century castle has been passed down through generations of the Gordons of Cluny and is one of the largest privately owned castles in Scotland. The castle is hidden away in the peaceful and natural surroundings of 200 acres of landscaped parkland and offers a blissful country escape for a romantic, fairytale wedding.

The grand scale of this venue is evident from the moment you enter the castle gates, and as you travel along the tree lined driveway opening out to a blanket of green lawn and catch a glimpse of the castle and all its glory, you’ll fall in love instantly as you gaze upon its stunning, captivating beauty and the beautiful natural greenery it’s surrounded by.

Facilities 

Cluny castle has its own chapel attached to the castle which seats up to 100 guests so wedding couples can have the best of both and still have a romantic chapel wedding whilst conveniently not having to travel elsewhere and enjoy having their whole wedding day at one spectacular venue.

The castle can flexibly host weddings of any size, with a beautiful dining room and drawing room that can accommodate intimate gatherings of up to 24 guests.

The Tenant’s Hall is the perfect setting for a wedding meal and an evening reception celebration with seating available for up to 94 dining guests, the interior of the hall is decorated with stunning period features such as the stained glass mullioned windows on the walls.

For larger weddings a marquee can be erected on the castle grounds and with this option, wedding couples have complete control over the size, shape, theme and design of the marquee wedding they wish to have and to top it off guests will have the majestic backdrop of the castle to enjoy.

A dedicated wedding planner is at hand every step of the way to guide and create the wedding day of your dreams and the catering staff are eager to provide exceptional service at every turn for each and every wedding guest attending in order to make your wedding a day to remember.

Accommodation

The West Wing apartment is located on the west side of the castle and is set over 2 floors with its own private entrance. The apartment sleeps up to 10 guests and has been recently refurbished to offer luxurious comforts in a traditional style reflecting the rich heritage of the castle.

The castle is currently undergoing a renovation project to provide 7 luxury ensuite bedrooms for guests to stay in and each room will be designed to embrace the distinct Scottish identity of the castle.
